Pre-Shoot Checklist.

We love to put together mood boards and inspiration while we’re planning for your shoot. Bringing together a fully collaborative team is essential to making your shoot a success!

BOOKING

Once we’ve agreed on a date and you’ve signed our contract, you’ll need to select and confirm a makeup artist for the shoot. If you haven’t yet, please check out our list of preferred artists here.

A professional hair and makeup artist is required for either type and we can either set that up for you (you’d pay them directly - ours usually range from $115-$300) or you can bring one (as long as we approve who it is since that can heavily alter editing time and cost).

INSPIRATION

We’ll work together to find some great inspiration photos. You’ll want to use these to put together your wardrobe (for fashion and portfolio sessions). For beauty shoots, you’ll want to prepare some basic items to bring along.

We may also send over mood-boards or direct you to some specific inspiration. If you have trouble finding any of the pieces, please let us know and we can help!

For some general basics to bring, we recommend the following:

  • Nude undergarments

  • Neutral tank or tube top, bandeau, strapless bra

  • Anything with a unique neckline or texture

  • Denim/Jeans (We love vintage, unique textures and designs, high waisted, relaxed fit, etc.)

  • Jewelry - rings, earrings, necklaces, hair clips, etc.

  • Bodysuits/Swimsuits, Swim-trunks (Men)

  • Jackets, blazers, oversized sweaters - layering pieces are always great!

We also recommend the following stores for shopping for basic pieces:

  • Zara

  • H&M

  • Asos

  • Target

If you are interested in a stylist please let us know and we will be happy to set you up with one of our stylists.

preparation

Please arrive with clean hair and skin for your session. Unless we’ve discussed otherwise, please follow these basic preparation tips for your session:

  • No acrylic nails - make sure nails are a natural length and color. Either freshly polished or no polish.

  • No eyelash extensions

  • Moisturize skin - avoid any facials or other skin treatment prior to the shoot

  • No spray/self tanner

shoot day

Please arrive on-time to your session. It’s usually likely that the makeup artist will arrive a few minutes early to begin setting up. We’ll start by laying out wardrobe and discussing the order of looks we’d like to complete.

When you arrive, please note the following:

  • The address to the studio is 1624 Smithfield Way, Suite 1126, Oviedo FL 32765. Unless we direct you to another location while we’re planning.

  • Please park across the lot from our studio door.

  • At times we may be fostering cats/kittens. If you have any allergies, please let us know ahead of time.
